Dear Colleagues,
In an effort to improve
communication across the board,
I am happy to announce a new
initiative. As the saying goes,
today’s news is tomorrow’s
history. Therefore, a website has
been developed to keep you
informed even faster.
This newsletter will continue to
happen on a monthly basis,
however feel free to go to
www.thebridge.webnode.com
for all the latest updates,
important information, as well as
links to all the websites that will
help answer your questions. In
addition, you will find polls and
a link to send me a message
instantly.
This website is new and will
continue to develop as time
passes. If you have any
suggestions, please feel free to email
me at cl231k@aol.com or
via the website.
We are living in very
tumultuous and uncertain times.
To put it bluntly, we are in a
recession. While some of us are
too young to remember the
budget crisis of the 1970s, many
of us do.
Compound the stress of
uncertainty with the demands of
our jobs, this creates anxiety. It
is my duty to ensure that you
work in the least stressful
environment as possible. After
meeting with members (both
formally and informally), the
need of a consultation
committee to meet with our
principal is evermore important.
We have to work on ways to
reduce the ever-increasing
demands in our classroom and
nonsensical policies that
prevent us from doing our jobs
the best that we can. We have to
put children first.
I will be reaching out even more
to you, to see how I can best
